Mea culpa

For the second week in a row, the new strip of Gone Zombie posted later than I'd like. Technically, I met my "new strip every Wednesday" goal this week, but only by the slimmest of margins. (Okay, maybe not so slim -- there are still a couple hours of Wednesday left.) And last week, the new strip didn't post until Thursday.

I make my living meeting deadlines, so I hate the thought of blowing them here. Thankfully, the likelihood of that happening any time soon has diminished some: we have enough in the hopper now to see us through for the next several weeks.

Speaking of "us," now's as good a time as any to thank my partners-in-crime Eduardo Garcia and Drew Moore for their fantastic work on this series. In school, I was never fond of those assignments where you had to team up with other students on a project. Invariably, you'd have at least one stooge who could not hold up his or her end of the project and it ended up being more aggravating an experience than anything else, let alone educational. (I once had a classmate tell me, "I'm not that worried about this project. It's only 30 percent of my grade." At least it wasn't a math class.) But these guys are great to work with; any delay is entirely on me.

So please consider the last two weeks something of an aberration (albeit a minor one) and keep checking back every Wednesday for a new strip.
